The new DMS/PMS platform will make project execution much easier<br />

WHY julitec ?<br />

The process began in 2007 with an organisational manual<br />

for project management. While doing this we recognised<br />

the need for a software tool to support our staff. This was<br />

confirmed by a survey within the company. After an exhaustive<br />

selection process we opted for julitec .<br />

WHAT IS julitec ?<br />

julitec is a software package that will support us in our<br />

organisational tasks and contribute to increasing the efficiency<br />

of our everyday work. Its main functions are:<br />

• Comprehensible project administration<br />

• Simple filing and searching of all documents<br />

• Improved communications<br />

(e-mail, responsibilities, duties, telephone numbers)<br />

• Traceable actions<br />

All business units will receive active support from the<br />

project team during the introduction of the new system.<br />

Special layouts, content and functions will be set up in<br />

consultation with each business unit to allow the system to<br />

be customised to their specific requirements.<br />

INFORMATION ABOUT julitec<br />

A julitec -info corner, reached from a link on the Intranet,<br />

was set up to provide continuous information. In addition<br />

we also publish the latest news each month. Jürgen<br />

Koblinger and Markus Arbeiter are the main contacts for all<br />

questions.<br />

As well as this, we also hold regular “coffee table” talks,<br />

in which project team members answer questions about<br />

julitec (every two weeks in Bregenz, monthly at our building<br />

depot and in St. Gallen).<br />

In July 2009, after careful consideration<br />

and meticulous software selection,<br />

we started with the introduction<br />

of the project and document management<br />

platform julitec . It will be<br />

introduced in phases from mid-2010.<br />

with a long-sought-after solution for the<br />

problem of document filing and project reports.<br />

Lists and statistics will be available<br />

at a press of a key. That will make our job<br />

much easier and allow us to concentrate<br />

on more important things than the endless search for<br />

documents.”<br />

Test operation until end 2009<br />

Working with test data and first predefined templates<br />

Pilot operation until mid-2010<br />

Working with real data with strongly interested business units<br />

Live operation from mid-2010<br />

Incremental roll-out to the <strong>Rhomberg</strong> Group<br />

The introduction will be carried out with various user groups. The first<br />

contact in the business unit follows the poweruser in the project team as a<br />

key user. After this phase, test users test the functions in a test environment,<br />

then all <strong>Rhomberg</strong> Group employees staff are added to the system.<br />
