Section 4 – Outputs and Activities<br />

Project Implementation Units (PIUs) Outputs<br />

• Selection of supervision consultants;<br />

• Design, Resettlement and Social Action Plan, Environmental Management Plan;<br />

• Preparation of contract packages and bid documents (use of appropriate document);<br />

• Procurement plan (time bound) of works;<br />

• Preparation of pre-qualification bid documents;<br />

• Pre-qualification of contractors;<br />

• Invitation of tender and selection of contractors;<br />

• Contract award, <strong>management</strong> and supervision of construction works and quality control<br />

activities;<br />

• Preparation of interim payment certificates and payment to the contractors;<br />

• Consultancy contract administration (for DPP, training etc);<br />

• Disposal of claims by contractors and processing of variation orders with recommendation;<br />

• Pre-feasibility or feasibility studies for <strong>project</strong> selection, including IEE, ISA, EIA and outline<br />

design (if required);<br />

• Implementation of the Training component of the <strong>project</strong> following RHD training policy and<br />

GoB rules;<br />

• Action on the finding of the donor’s supervision missions and wrap up meeting.<br />

These main outputs of FAPs form part of the overall RHD “<strong>project</strong> cycle”, as shown in Figure<br />

4.1, and are linked to the main activities of RHD, described as the RHD Road Asset<br />

Management System (RAMS) in section 4.2.<br />
