There’s More
Behind These
Doors Than Tile

If there is one phrase or philosophy that
defines the success of Wausau Tile, it has to
be “The ability and willingness to respond to
our customers’ needs”. Backed by talented
been the guiding principle in all we do.
Ed Creske — Founder
We share the pride of the architects and
designers who rely on us, as partners, to
see their creations through the creative
process, manufacturing and then
culminating in the final product.
Recycled Glass
I
n
1999 a Wausau Tile product
development team met with scientists
at Columbia University. It was the
first step in what has become a major
breakthrough in our industry; the ability
to combine concrete with recycled glass.
Until that time, mixing the two was as
difficult as blending oil and water. After
the research, came the discovery that all
of Wausau Tile’s concrete-based products
could indeed contain recycled glass.
Today, Wausau Tile is the leading
manufacturer of dependable concretebased
products containing recycled
glass. The colors afforded by this unique
process, combined with recycling tons of
glass, make these products special.
