Strengthening the Management of General Island and Ayoke Community Based MPA

New set of officers were elected in
general island ManCom or the
ISLAMDUNK (Peoples Organization).
A new system of election I ever had, as
decide by the group, it was a secret
ballot voting that they will written /
nominate the person they want to be in
certain position.
At the end, election committee will
review the papers and write down name
mention in the sheets in each position, the
highest number of votes will be declare
in the respective position.

Procured non-motorized boat for Ayoke
and General Island MPA . The nonmotorized
boat planned to be painted
by some of the campaign message that
brings pride for the community.
For General Island MPA, the approved
message by the ManCom is “ General
Island Marine Protected Area –
Sangtwaryo Nan Tanan”. Likewise for
Ayoke MPA, it is “Ayoke Marine Protected
Area. Sangtwrayo Nan Tanan, ato ini
protektahan ug Bantajan. The pride of
Cantilan – giant clams and other marine
lives will be painted also and
nevertheless the logo of partners
agencies and funders .

SOCIAL MARKETING

POSTER ENHANCEMENT
After the poster making contest,
the team decided to have an
enhancement of the poster to
incorporate the messages of the
campaign, likewise to used in
some social marketing.
These will be use in calendar and
poster.

2011 UNIVERSAL MONTH CELEBRATION
(CHILDREN FESTIVAL)
Tilang become the star of the
event, children enjoyed
dancing and hugging. She
also give candies to the kids,
while they were some busy
taking picture.
It was a magnificent moment
since she hold the crowd until
the end of the event, when the
emcee said that she will still
affair during the awarding in
the afternoon.

During the cultural
show of Lanuza
Surfing festival,
Tilang and Lob-lob
performed.

T-SHIRTS
There are two designs of t-shirt. This is the first
set of release for pre-testing purposes.
Logo is located at the back in both t-shirt.
In front, it mentions the marine products found
in the MPA, calling for the protection of the
sources of life.
