Henry’s Origami Star
n The Carpenter’s Gift, Henry helps decorate the very
first Rockefeller Center Christmas tree. He folds a piece
of newspaper into a star and adds his ornament to the
garlands and shiny tin cans that his new friends hang on the
tree’s branches.
Henry’s Origami Star PAGE 2 of 2
When Henry sees the Rockefeller Center workers decorating their tree, he wants to add an ornament of
his own. He grabs a sheet of newspaper — perhaps this Dec. 24, 1931, front page of The New York Times —
and makes a star much like the one you’re working on now.
