Remarks from Council Members Who Have Not Spoken
Councilman Bisaillon expressed his appreciation to all who were in attendance and especially to Jack
Roche for his years of service to the Water Board, as well as Bill Buckley. My best wishes for his speedy
recovery. The Borough employees work for all the citizens of this town and I want to thank them for their
dedication. Volunteers do an outstanding job and I want to express my appreciation for the countless
hours they spend serving us. I would like to thank my wife and my family. None of us could do this
without the support of our families. A number of our employees are serving in Iraq and Afghanistan and
I would ask that you say Thank You when you see them returning. Stephen McNicholas from the Police
Department is returning and we are glad he is back.
Councilman Heller welcomed the new councilmembers. They are truly decent professionals. Jack Roche
and Bill Buckley deserve our thanks. I will miss Jack’s professionalism. Joe and Julie tried to do what
they believed to be in the best interests of the public. Being a councilmember is a unique opportunity. I
wish you all a Happy New Year.
Councilman Nalbandian wished everyone a happy and healthy 2006. Congratulations to Andrew and
Bruce. I look forward to working with them. Congratulations to Chris Botta on being elected Council
President. My thanks to Jack Roche and Bill Buckley for their years of service. It has been quite a
learning experience. My thanks to the Borough Administrator, Borough Clerk and Deputy Borough
Clerk. I truly enjoy working with all of the Borough employees. Meredith is our shining star who
replaced Nancy Ecke-Hohmann. Cathy LaFleur was promoted to Deputy Court Administrator. Our tax
collector, Hope Kotlarich, also retired this past year. It has been a privilege to be a member of the
Planning Board, chaired by Dr. Rudy Iorio. I am also the liaison to the Library. I would like to thank my
wife, Debbie, for her support. There are some late nights and long hours and I have a very supportive
family. The police chief’s son was deployed to Iraq and I wish him a safe return. God bless all of you
and your families during 2006.

Mayor Muti presented his annual Mayor’s Awards to the following:
Steve Adams – for special Olympics, O.E.M. and trustee of the Library;
Eileen Wimberger (not at meeting) – raising funds for inner-city school children and
finding homes for refugees;
Susan Flood – fund raising for flood and tsunami victims;
Helen Ahlstedt – management of the bus for senior citizens;
Mary & Don McLaughlin – outstanding community residents for over 40 years;
