PROMPT CHECKLIST
Be sure to…
1. Read the information provided in your Student Prompt and Student Response Booklets
very carefully. You may make marks or underline in these booklets. However, only the
written information in your Student Response Booklet will be scored.
2. Review the prompt Scoring Guide/Rubric carefully before, during and upon completion
of your work. The Scoring Guide/Rubric explains in detail what is expected of your final
product. The prompt Scoring Guide/Rubric can be found on page 5 of the Student
Prompt Booklet.
3. Write all information directly in your Student Response Booklet. Please write neatly and
clearly on the lines and/or appropriate space provided.
4. Attempt to provide a solution and/or response to the prompt – even if you may not know
the exact answer. It is better to show some solution to the prompt than none at all…you
can do it!
5. CHECK YOUR WORK carefully if you finish early! Use the Scoring Guide/Rubric to
help you.
