This area is very important for the<br />

reproducti<strong>on</strong> <str<strong>on</strong>g>of</str<strong>on</strong>g> fish.<br />

According to the seas<strong>on</strong>s, fishes<br />

migrate into the lago<strong>on</strong> to spawn and<br />

growing up and finally migrating back<br />

to the sea. Am<strong>on</strong>gst these<br />

Mullet species (Mugil sp.) sea bream<br />

(Sparus aurata), sea bass<br />

(Dicentrarchus labrax), European eel<br />

(Anguilla anguilla) and blue crap<br />

(Callinectes sapidus)are primary<br />

species.<br />

MANAGEMENT STRUCTURE<br />

Adana Provincial Directorate <str<strong>on</strong>g>of</str<strong>on</strong>g> Envir<strong>on</strong>ment and Forestry is resp<strong>on</strong>sible for the<br />

management <str<strong>on</strong>g>of</str<strong>on</strong>g> the site. A site guard <str<strong>on</strong>g>of</str<strong>on</strong>g> the provincial directorate is assigned to pursue<br />

the c<strong>on</strong>trols through the site. Lacking a building in site for management, inadequacy <str<strong>on</strong>g>of</str<strong>on</strong>g><br />

transportati<strong>on</strong> and c<strong>on</strong>trol means and absence <str<strong>on</strong>g>of</str<strong>on</strong>g> pers<strong>on</strong>nel leads to a deficiency in the<br />

management <str<strong>on</strong>g>of</str<strong>on</strong>g> the site.<br />
