HYDROLOGICAL ASPECTS<br />
The average depth <str<strong>on</strong>g>of</str<strong>on</strong>g> Akyatan Lago<strong>on</strong> is 1 meter in the seas<strong>on</strong>s the water level rises and<br />
0.5 meter in the seas<strong>on</strong> the water level decreases. Previously, the deepest place <str<strong>on</strong>g>of</str<strong>on</strong>g><br />
Akyatan Lago<strong>on</strong> was 2.5 meters, while it decreased to 2 meters at the end <str<strong>on</strong>g>of</str<strong>on</strong>g> 1990s. The<br />
freshwater enters the lago<strong>on</strong> via precipitati<strong>on</strong>, <br />

lago<strong>on</strong>, waters flowing from the nearby sinks and leaking from agriculture lands. The<br />
annual evaporati<strong>on</strong> and rainfall values (annual evaporati<strong>on</strong>1550 mm, annual<br />
rainfall 730 mm) reveal that evaporati<strong>on</strong> value is twice the rainfall.<br />
