Great crested newt (Triturus cristatus),<br />

European gren toad (Bufo viridis),<br />

European tree frog (Hyla arborea),<br />

European copper skink (Ablepharus<br />

kitaibelii), European p<strong>on</strong>d turtle (Emys<br />

orbicularis), tortois (Testudo graeca)<br />

are the species in the site that are<br />

protected under Bern <str<strong>on</strong>g>C<strong>on</strong>venti<strong>on</strong></str<strong>on</strong>g> and<br />

European Uni<strong>on</strong> Habitats Directive<br />

(Annex II and IV).<br />

European snow vole (Microtus nivalis) is<br />

protected under Bern <str<strong>on</strong>g>C<strong>on</strong>venti<strong>on</strong></str<strong>on</strong>g>. Again<br />

Danube bleak (Chalcalburnus<br />

chalcoides), Barbus plebejus escherichi,<br />

spined loach (Cobitis taenia), wels<br />

catfish (Silurus glanis), m<strong>on</strong>key goby<br />

(Gobius fluviatilis), marine tubenose<br />

goby (Proterorhinus marmoratus),<br />

marbled goby (Pomatoschistus microps<br />

leopardinus), asp (Aspius aspius), amur<br />

bitterling (Rhodeus sericeus) are the 9<br />

fish species under protecti<strong>on</strong>.<br />
