The site was designated as a <str<strong>on</strong>g>Ramsar</str<strong>on</strong>g> Site for being a karstic wetland by the Ministry <str<strong>on</strong>g>of</str<strong>on</strong>g><br />

Envir<strong>on</strong>ment and Forestry in 2006. The site also has an Archeological Site Area status by<br />

Ministry <str<strong>on</strong>g>of</str<strong>on</strong>g> Culture and Tourism.<br />

The site is a rare wetland<br />

area.<br />

The site has a special significance due<br />

to its karstic structure. It differentiates<br />

from other sinkholes since its diameter<br />

endangered bird species The site supports nine plant species,<br />

included in Internati<strong>on</strong>al endemic and/or endangered and/or<br />

Uni<strong>on</strong> for C<strong>on</strong>servati<strong>on</strong> <str<strong>on</strong>g>of</str<strong>on</strong>g> protected under Bern <str<strong>on</strong>g>C<strong>on</strong>venti<strong>on</strong></str<strong>on</strong>g>.<br />

K<strong>on</strong>ya Provincial Directorate General <str<strong>on</strong>g>of</str<strong>on</strong>g> Envir<strong>on</strong>ment and Forestry.<br />

HYDROLOGICAL ASPECTS<br />
