TOP SIRLOIN SANDWICH STEAKS<br />

These tender, juicy steaks are a great<br />

answer for any time. Boneless Kansas City<br />

<strong>Steak</strong> Company sirloin sandwich steaks<br />

<strong>com</strong>e from 100% pure, corn-fed western-<br />

Kansas beef and are never chopped or<br />

formed. Perfect for picnics, cookouts or<br />

just a quick meal at home, our sandwich<br />

sirloin is everything even the most<br />

demanding steak lover could want.<br />

HOW TO PREPARE<br />

On the Grill: Preheat grill to high. Cook<br />

steaks for 2 minutes, flip and grill for 2<br />

minutes more for medium rare. Grill<br />

additional minutes or until steaks reach<br />

desired doneness.<br />

Pan Frying: Preheat non-stick skillet for<br />

3 minutes on medium-high. Cook 2<br />

minutes on each side for medium rare or<br />

cook to desired doneness.<br />

Broiling: Set oven regulator to broil and<br />

preheat oven for 10 minutes. During<br />

broiling, the oven door should be left ajar<br />

for electric ovens and should remain<br />

closed for gas ranges. Consult your<br />

owner’s manual for specific broiling<br />

<strong>guide</strong>lines. Place thawed steaks on broiler<br />

pan rack. Position broiling pan 4 inches<br />

from heating element. Broil for 6 - 8<br />

minutes, turning once for medium rare, or<br />

cook to desired doneness.<br />

mediterranean steak sandwich<br />

Serves 4<br />

4 sirloin sandwich steaks, 4 oz. each<br />

4 pieces pita bread, warmed<br />

1 cup feta cheese, crumbled<br />

2 medium tomatoes, seeded, chopped<br />

1 small can ripe olives, sliced<br />

1 cup onion, chopped<br />

seasoning:<br />

1 tbsp. olive oil<br />

2 tsp. garlic, chopped<br />

1 tsp. curry powder<br />

1 tsp. ground cumin<br />

1 tsp. fresh ground black pepper<br />

sauce:<br />

1 cup plain yogurt<br />

1 cucumber, peeled, seeded, diced<br />

2 tbsp. olive oil<br />

1 tsp. dried dill weed<br />

1 tsp. garlic, minced<br />

salt and pepper to taste<br />

Combine seasoning ingredients and<br />

coat the steaks. Place steaks on a<br />

broiler pan, 4 inches from the heat<br />

source and cook 4 minutes on 1 side<br />

and 3 minutes on the other.<br />

Mix all ingredients for the sauce and<br />

store in refrigerator until needed.<br />

Assemble sandwiches by slicing cooked<br />

sirloin across the grain into 1 /8" pieces. Add<br />

other ingredients, ending with the sauce.<br />
