For Cabaret Dance
A great deal of quiet activity
has been taking place during
the past weeks in connection
with one of the biggest affairs
of the year for Quesnel
as the members of the Quesnel
Badminton Club have
been busy making arrangements
for the annual badminton
cabaret to be held in
the Legion Hall.
The date has been set
ahead from previous years
and the affair is slated for
Friday, Dec. 28 starting at
9:00 p.m. and running until
1:00 a.m.
As usual there will be lots
of girls dancing in the floor
show with a good strong -selection
of supporting acts
choreographed and directed _
by Don Currie and Mabel

by the Coffee Shop staff who
will be doing the catering
for the evening.
On hand to provide the
best in music for the pleasure
of the patrons will be
Doug Davis and the Devil
Dreamers who have proven
steadily popular with their
regular dances at Six Mile
every Saturday.
Much fun and good entertainment
is promised for the
night and the cabaret should
go down as one of the best
ever produced.

Chrisfmas Party
A VERY JOLLY evening was
enjoyed by members of the
Quesnel Lady Lions Club when
thej' gathered at the home of
Mrs. Ben Ludditt at Quesnel
view Wednesday of last week for
their annual Cliristmas party.
Mrs. Don Sutherland convened
the successful affair.
' A merry time was had when
games, arranged by Mrs. Ludditt
and Mrs. Len Mahr were played.
• Presents were distributed
from the Christmas tree and a
most delicious buffet ^upper was
enjoyed by aU present.
Badminton Starts
Again on Jan. 8
BADMINTON clubbers will
be glad to note that the date
for the resumption of play
has been set and games will
get under way again Tuesday,
January 8 at 8:00 p.m.
There's lots of work for the
club to do ir; the second half
of the season with the imminence
of the CCCBT and
with nothing under their
belts but a pair of defeats
handed out by the Prince
George club during the first
half of the season.
For any persons wishing
to play the game, sessions
a)-o held every Tuesday and
Thursday evening starting
at 8:00 p.m. at the high school
gym with everyone welcome
to turn-out and play in the
club.

A PRE CHRISTMAS double ring
ceremony at St. Andrew's United
Church Saturday evening
joined in holy wedlock Rosalia
Hana, second daughter of Mr.
and Mrs. John Kimmie, and Mr.
Leonard Young, son of Mr. and
Mrs. Stuart Young of Ablwtsford.
Rev. Archie Birse officiated
at the 7 p.m. service.
Given by her father, the bride
wore a suit of nyldn and wool in
navy blue with white splashes,
and fashioned by her mother.
The bride's sister Helen was
maid of honour and her pale blue
wool suit also featured splashes
of white. She wore white acces.sories
and carried a white and
mauve bouquet of chrysanthemums.
Mr. Edward Kimmie, brother
of the bride, acted as best man
while Mr. Bryan Hilborn ushered.
Following the ceremony, a reception
was held at the home of
the bride's parents where decor
carried the Christmas theme
and tall red and green tapers
flanked the wedding cake. Mr.
Walter Luko proposed a toast to
the bride.
The bride's mother chose a nylon
and wool suit in slate blue
with pale blue accessories and
her corsage was of pink carnations.
Out of town guests included
Mr. and Mrs. Delmar Haoson,
of Bums Lake and Mr. Martin
Samkew of Vanderhoof, cousins
of the bride; Mr. and Mrs. Hu^ie
MacDonald, cousins of the
groom and Mr. Leslie Ivens, cousin
of the bride, all of Williams
Lake and Miss Irene Roberts of
Wells.
The couple left on a wedding
trip to the coast and spent
Christmas with the groom's parrent*.
