FUTURITY<br />

Teller Sweet Nothins was named the winner of the<br />

$118,920 Heartland Futurity after Habits Secret<br />

drifted out and was disqualified and placed second<br />

for interference.<br />

Racing for John Wolpert, Teller<br />

Sweet Nothins came into the race<br />

with the second fastest qualifying<br />

time behind Princess Lil Bit. Wolpert<br />

also saddled the Teller Cartel filly<br />

out of the Streakin La Jolla mare<br />

Bits Of Bliss. Under jockey Yordanis<br />

Amaro, the bay miss completed the<br />

300 yards in :15.453 seconds, a 99<br />

speed index, losing by only a neck.<br />

The $65,406 winner’s purse pushes<br />

her career total to $72,706. Thomas<br />

Bradbury and Lisa Beauprez bred<br />

Teller Sweet Nothins in Colorado.<br />

Following the disqualification, Habits Secret, a colt of All<br />

American Futurity winner and first crop sire No Secrets<br />

Here, earned $23,784 for second. Owned and trained by Ricardo<br />

Martinez, the sorrel is technically still a maiden from<br />

three starts. He came into the finals off a fifth place effort<br />

and final qualifying time to the Heartland Futurity final.<br />

Ridden by Yordanis Amaro, Vessels Stallion Farm, LLC<br />

bred Habits Secret in California from the Apollo (TB) mare<br />

Habitual Dreamer.<br />

Another maiden, Huntin Ivory, finished a nose back in the<br />

show position, earning $11,892 for Starlet Hunt and David<br />

Tolle. Charlton Hunt trains the Ivory James gelding out of<br />

Baja Rosa, by Dean Miracle. Ridden by Victor Olivo, he<br />

bay was bred in Kansas.<br />

Completing the field were Salado Secret, Wrs Kool<br />

Blaze, Princess Lil Bit, Seis Got Zoom, Wrs Kool<br />

Corona and Casey Corona.<br />

Raymond Vickie Duke’s Chilled Six Pack returned<br />

to the winner’s circle for the second<br />

straight time Saturday night after inching up<br />

on Princess Royal Blew in the $113,800 Blue<br />

River Derby. Under jockey Shanley Jackson,<br />

the brown gelding covered 350 yards in<br />

:18.010 seconds to win by a nose.<br />

It was the second career stakes victory for<br />

the John McCreary trainee. Last season the<br />

Chilled Corona-Six Packing Robin, by Packin<br />

Sixes Jr, won a futurity at Hoosier Park.<br />

The $62,690 winner’s purse on Saturday<br />

pushed his career mark over $142,000 with a<br />
