Participants will explore the world of The Twilight Zone through plot analysis, complex characters and understanding the significance of how this remarkable show has had an impact on our world today. Each class will include a screening and discussion of episodes followed by a Q & A. Screenings are held at a comfortable midtown-Manhattan theater. Off-campus location given at registration. Get Wired: Jewelry Making Heather Drake, BA, 10 year entrepreneur in jewelry design Beginner Learn the basics to make your very own jewelry! Learn how to turn a loop, make wire links, work with jump rings, and assemble your own earrings, bracelets, and necklaces. Participants will acquire the skills to continue making jewelry on their own and will receive a set of pliers and wire for their use. Projects include: earrings and chain-link bracelet or necklace. PSX-418 SA / 1 session (4 hours) / $35 / Sat, 10am-2pm, Sept. 28 Continuation Expand your wire skills and create even more stunning jewelry! Learn advanced wirework techniques to include complicated shapes, jump rings, and wire toggles and clasps. Project includes: clover bracelet, necklaces, chandelier earrings. 4Music The Singer’s Workshop: For Beginners & Experienced Singers Susan Agin, MS, Director of Queensborough Performing Arts Center (QPAC), member of Actor's Equity, recording artist, voice coach, Cantor Learn the fundamentals of singing, as well as what and how to perform. Topics covered include choosing the appropriate music, song interpretation, microphone technique, connecting with an audience, overcoming stage fright and stage presence. Accompaniment provided with the use of pre-recorded tracks. Participants should have a song prepared to sing on the first day of class with a karaoke track accompaniment.
