BOOK READING: Alterations
Rita Plush, Coordinator of the Interior Design/Decorating Certificate
Program will talk about and read from her short story collection Alterations
(Penumbra Publishing, 2013). Many of the stories are set in the 1940’s and
reference the fashions and home furnishings of the era.
Rita will discuss how stories connect us and how the collection came
together: some stories were written twenty years ago and some last spring.
She will explore how writing short stories differs from writing a novel.
There will be a Q & A after her presentation, followed with a book signing.
