Designing Video Games as teaching tools… learn, grow,<br />

have fun and succeed! Hands-on technology, handeye<br />

coordination, deconstructing systems, internalized<br />

mapping, improved eyesight, increased focus, and<br />

confidence in creating a new and individualized game<br />

are some of the many proven benefits of this program.<br />

Participants take pride in creating their own end<br />

product, which is not a commercially published<br />

video game but their own inspiration based on their<br />

Intro to Video Game Design & Development (grades 5-12)<br />

Broadway is a dream for millions of young people across the world. However, if you are interested<br />

in actually auditioning for Broadway, there are several tips you need to keep in mind<br />

before ever stepping foot inside a theater. This class will help you learn how to best prepare<br />

for a musical (Broadway) audition. Learn where to look for auditions, pick the right song,<br />

interact with the casting directors, prepare your sheet music, and how to dress. Participants<br />

must bring with them 2 copies of the sheet music for an audition song they have chosen to<br />

work on.<br />

for all eligible public and private high school<br />

students. Instructors are licensed by the NYS<br />

Department of Education. This program uses<br />

late model vehicles with dual controls.<br />

ELIGIBILITY. All high school students are eligible<br />

to register for the Driver Education program<br />

provided they are or will be 16 years of age<br />

by September 16, 2011. Students must have a<br />

learner’s permit or junior license before and<br />

bring to first class.<br />

Objectives<br />

• Acquire safe driving skills and defensive<br />

driving awareness.<br />

• Earn the MV 285 “Completion Certificate,”<br />

providing eligibility for 10-15% discounts on<br />

insurance premiums with most companies;<br />
