$1,000,000 Combined Single Limit Automobile Liability insurance shall be maintained<br />

against claims for damages resulting from bodily injury, including wrongful death, and<br />

property damage which may arise from the operations <strong>of</strong> any owned, leased, hired or<br />

non-owned automobiles used by or for the Contractor in any capacity in connection<br />

with carrying out this contract.<br />

7.13.4 Minimum Scope <strong>of</strong> Insurance:<br />

All Liability insurance policies shall be written on an “occurrence” basis only. All<br />

insurance coverage is to be placed with insurers authorized to do business in the State <strong>of</strong><br />

<strong>Connecticut</strong> and must be placed with an insurer that has an A.M. Best’s Rating <strong>of</strong> no<br />

less than A-, VII. All certificates <strong>of</strong> insurance shall be provided to the <strong>University</strong> <strong>of</strong><br />

<strong>Connecticut</strong>, <strong>Purchasing</strong> <strong>Department</strong>. The <strong>University</strong> <strong>of</strong> <strong>Connecticut</strong> shall be named as<br />

Additional Insured for liability coverage required under this document. The<br />

Contractor’s insurer shall have no right <strong>of</strong> recovery <strong>of</strong> subrogation against the<br />

<strong>University</strong> <strong>of</strong> <strong>Connecticut</strong> and the Contractor’s insurance shall be primary coverage.<br />

The Certificate Holder Box shall read: <strong>University</strong> <strong>of</strong> <strong>Connecticut</strong>, 3 North Hillside<br />

Road, Storrs, CT 06269-6076.<br />

7.14 RFP Evaluation:<br />

7.14.1 As part <strong>of</strong> its proposal review, the <strong>University</strong> may request and consider presentations,<br />

review <strong>of</strong> references and supplier representatives.<br />

7.14.2 Presentations: The <strong>University</strong> reserves the right, but is not obligated, to request and<br />

require that a vendor provide a formal presentation <strong>of</strong> its proposal at a date and time to<br />

be determined. If required by the <strong>University</strong>, it is anticipated that such presentation will<br />

not exceed two (2) hours. No vendor will be entitled to be present during, or otherwise<br />

receive any information regarding, any other presentation <strong>of</strong> any other vendor. Vendors<br />

shall bear all costs associated with their presentation.<br />

7.14.3 Review <strong>of</strong> References: All <strong>of</strong>fers shall include at least five (5) references for firms or<br />

organizations for whom your firm has a master agreement to supply Office Supplies so<br />

that the <strong>University</strong> may get a sense <strong>of</strong> the breadth and quality <strong>of</strong> your work. At a<br />

minimum three (3) <strong>of</strong> the references shall be colleges or universities. Please include<br />

name, title, telephone number and email address <strong>of</strong> a contact person at each<br />

institution/organization.<br />

7.14.4 Supplier Representatives: Vendor must identify the individuals it anticipates will be<br />

assigned to the <strong>University</strong> account. Provide names, titles and a brief resume <strong>of</strong> each<br />

individual. In addition, include a description <strong>of</strong> the responsibilities, certifications and<br />

training <strong>of</strong> each <strong>of</strong> those individuals. The <strong>University</strong> reserves the right to conduct<br />

interviews with identified supplier representatives as a part <strong>of</strong> its evaluation process.<br />

7.14.5 The <strong>University</strong> will include in its evaluation: proposals, presentations, if requested,<br />

references and interviews. In addition, the award will be predicated upon the successful<br />

negotiation <strong>of</strong> the specific terms and conditions to be included in the Agreement. The<br />

<strong>University</strong> will be the sole judge <strong>of</strong> the suitability <strong>of</strong> the proposed vendor.<br />

7.14.6 Proposal Qualification Data: If necessary to evaluate vendor qualification, vendor may<br />

be requested to furnish information on the following items:<br />
