Introduction/Overview
1.0 INTRODUCTION
1.1 Overview
Thank you for your interest in this bid opportunity. The University of Connecticut (hereinafter
referred to as the “University”) is seeking proposals from experienced and qualified office
supply vendors to deliver and supply general office supplies to the University’s main campus,
located in Storrs, Connecticut as well as the regional campuses located in Avery Point,
Hartford, West Hartford, Torrington, Waterbury and Stamford.
Additionally, a scenario which includes the University of Connecticut Health Center
(hereinafter referred to as “UCHC”) located in Farmington, Connecticut is provided. Our goal
is to capitalize on the economies of scale a joint award will provide. However, due to the
operational differences and requirements between Storrs/Regional campuses and UCHC this
may not be in the best interest of the University. Therefore, the University reserves the right to
award this contract jointly (Storrs, Regionals and UCHC) or separately (Storrs and Regionals
only) from UCHC. Due to the nature of the work performed at UCHC, additional requirements
will apply. Please refer to section 5 for the specific UCHC requirements that will apply and
refer to the following table for a summary of operational differences and exclusions.
Although this contract is being established for the University of Connecticut, these services
may also be required and/or requested by the Connecticut College Purchasing Group (CCPG)
member institutions. A complete list of members is located in Appendix H. Each bidder should
indicate on the Form of Proposal whether they are willing to extend the same discounts, terms,
and conditions to CCPG member institutions.
