3.5 Large Dollar Incentive<br />

The <strong>University</strong> desires an incentive that will afford their large departments the opportunity to<br />

receive additional price consideration for their willingness to consolidate and place a single<br />

large volume order for shipment to a single delivery address. It has been determined that an<br />

order <strong>of</strong> $3,000.00 or more <strong>of</strong> <strong>of</strong>fice products, a respondent may be willing to provide an<br />

additional discount in consideration <strong>of</strong> shipping and handling economies resulting from a single<br />

large dollar order. The respondent shall indicate if their firm will provide such an incentive. If<br />

the respondent will <strong>of</strong>fer this additional incentive, the respondent must also provide the<br />

additional information requested below regarding the incentive <strong>of</strong>fered. If the respondent<br />

proposes an incentive other than an additional discount, they must include a description <strong>of</strong> such<br />

incentive on a separate page along with their response to the RFP. Respondent's should note,<br />

however, that in evaluating responses received preference will be given to those respondent's<br />

<strong>of</strong>fering a discount incentive for single large dollar orders (or releases) in lieu <strong>of</strong> other<br />

incentives.<br />

The respondent shall provide a detailed narrative describing how it will meet the requirements<br />

identified above.<br />

If the participation incentive <strong>of</strong>fered is not in the form <strong>of</strong> an additional discount, the<br />

respondent must include a description <strong>of</strong> such incentive on an appropriately labeled<br />

separate sheet.<br />

3.6 Other Pricing Incentives<br />

The respondent will advise <strong>of</strong> additional cost savings incentives that can be realized. Areas that<br />

should be considered:<br />

The respondent shall provide a detailed narrative describing how it will meet the requirements identified<br />

above.<br />

Core (market basket) and Non-Core Pricing are requested. A fixed percent discount from<br />

manufacturer’s suggested list or markup from cost must be provided for all non-core items.<br />

Cost plus proposals will not be considered<br />

The following Appendices are attached. In order for your proposal to be considered, Appendices A, B,<br />

& C must be completed in their entirety.<br />

“Appendix B”- Core & Non-Core list for UCHC campus in Farmington<br />

“Appendix C” - Combined Core & Non-Core list for Storrs, Regional, and UCHC<br />
