Staff Chi Onwurah: To ask the Secretary of State for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs which pay grades his Department defines as senior officials in his Department’s arm’s length bodies. [150238] Richard Benyon: Senior staff in core DEFRA and its executive agencies are defined as those paid within the senior civil service paybands. These include paybands 1, 1A, 2 and 3, as well as Permanent Secretary. The following table provides the names of the pay grades that are considered equivalent to the senior civil service (SCS) in the Department’s arms length bodies.
