POST<br />

11.81 The <strong>Parliament</strong>ary Office of Science and Technology (POST)<br />

provides members of both Houses with information on science and<br />

technology issues. It is controlled by a Board of members of both Houses<br />

and non-parliamentarians. There are currently four Lords members. By<br />

practice they include the chairman of the Science and Technology<br />

Committee and a member of the Information Committee.<br />

INTERNATIONAL DELEGATIONS<br />

11.82 Members of the House serve on <strong>United</strong> <strong>Kingdom</strong> delegations to<br />

various international bodies:<br />

British-Irish <strong>Parliament</strong>ary Assembly;<br />

Commonwealth <strong>Parliament</strong>ary Association;<br />

Council of Europe <strong>Parliament</strong>ary Assembly;<br />

Inter-<strong>Parliament</strong>ary Union;<br />

NATO <strong>Parliament</strong>ary Assembly;<br />

Organisation for Security and Co-operation in Europe;<br />

Western European Union <strong>Parliament</strong>ary Assembly.<br />

These delegations are appointed after consultations through the usual<br />
