Monday through Friday at 9:00am.

Saturday 4:00pm to 4:45pm
Weekdays after the 9:00am Mass
Wednesdays 5:30pm to 7:00pm
EUCHARISTIC ADORATION
Adoration is offered every Wednesday
evening from 5:30pm to 7:00pm, and
First Friday of the month from 9:30am
- 4:00pm.

We welcome the active involvement of
every person in the life and ministry of our
parish.

Monday through Friday from 8:30am
to 4:30pm at the Parish Office.

HOSPITALIZATION AND VISITATION
If you or a loved one are in an area hospital
or are homebound and wish to be visited,
please notify the parish office. Our Pastor
offers Confession, Holy Communion, and
Anointing of the Sick for those who wish to
receive.
BAPTISM
We share the joy of expectant parents
and look forward to welcoming them for
Baptismal preparation. Parishioners
should contact the parish office to begin
their preparation.
MARRIAGE
We look forward to assisting couples
wishing to enter a sacramental marriage.
Please contact our Pastor, Father John
Allen, to begin preparation for this
wonderful sacrament. A minimum of six
months preparation is required by our
diocesan policy.
ROSARY
The rosary is said every Monday
through Friday after the 9:00am Mass.

Sacramental preparation
The Sacrament of First Eucharist is to be
celebrated at St. Paul the Apostle Catholic Church on
Saturday morning, April 30th at 10:30am. Students
are asked to be in room B, C and D by 9:45am on
that morning.
The Sacrament of Confirmation is to be
celebrated at St. Paul the Apostle Catholic Church on
Wednesday evening, April 27th at 7pm. Students
are asked to be in Fellowship Hall by 6pm on that
evening. Rehearsal for the Sacrament will be Tuesday
evening, April 26th at 6:30pm in Fellowship Hall.
The Pre-Baptism Classes are normally held on the
third Monday of each month. However, due to room
availability, Holy Week, and work schedule conflicts,
changes have occurred. The new class dates are:

Easter Sunday
SEEDS OF FAITH
There is a brevity, a certain terseness, in
the scripture readings for Easter Sunday.
Peter’s speech in Acts is built of direct,
pointed sentences. Paul’s letters are based
on straightforward creed-like statements.
Even the Gospel story only briefly recounts
what will turn out to be one of the most
remarkable events in human history—
the resurrection of Jesus from the dead.
Advertising agents call these encapsulated
points of information “bullet points.”
Scripture scholars call them kerygma, or
“kernels” of our faith. Actually, “kernels”
or “seeds” are good terms for these
statements, since throughout the Easter
season, we will hear in the Acts of the
Apostles, the Letters of Paul and the
Gospel accounts of the days following the
Resurrection, exactly how these kerygma
began to flower, how they continued to
grow through the life of the early church.
May these Easter “seeds” of faith serve a
similar purpose for us, too, so that the life
of the Risen Christ will flourish in us and
through our witness in the coming days.

to the left, the library lends books, tapes, CDs, DVDs
and children’s materials. Topics covered include Catholic
teaching, Church history, other religions, religious biographies
and novels, moral theology and social justice. There is an
extensive collection of resources for Bible study and a large
selection of books for prayer and meditation. The library also
offers WiFi and is open anytime the building is open.

by 12:00pm on Monday, two days in advance of the
Wednesday publication. You can submit your article via our

A Great Big Thank You
The Women’s Guild of St. Paul’s met September,
1974. The Program was Mobile Meals. They were
asking churches to take one day a month and
deliver meals to shut-ins. Anita Keller and I started
the program here. I have continued to serve as
Day Chair or Assistant. I have now retired. (I will
still substitute!) I want to thank all the volunteers,
past and present for their dedication and devotion
to the program. Thanks and God bless you!

Habitat for Humanity has welcomed 7 young
adults from across the country to work on new
construction and home rehab Habitat projects.
The group is from NCCC which stands for National
Civilian Community Corps. The team arrived on
April 6th and will leave Saturday, May 14th. They
are staying at a home owned by & close to First
Baptist Church off Friendly Ave.
Habitat is asking local churches to provide (&
deliver) four evening meals during their stay per
church. This is a great opportunity for small groups,
Sunday school classes, men/women’s groups,
etc. to share in building a strong local community.
Churches have been asked to cover four nights
with seven dinners per night. Let’s see if we can
cover the week of May 10th through May 13th.

dinner on one of these evenings, please call
