hearing process, you may appeal the<br />
decision to the Commonwealth Court.<br />
What if I have exhausted all<br />
steps in the appeals process<br />
and I’m still denied?<br />
There are a number of options available<br />
to you if you are denied a disability<br />
retirement benefi t. Different membership<br />
classes and circumstances have<br />
different benefi t eligibility requirements.<br />
Contact your PSERS Regional Offi ce<br />
to speak to a counselor regarding the<br />
choices available to you.<br />

How long am I entitled to a<br />
disability retirement benefit?<br />
At the time your disability retirement<br />
benefi t is approved, PSERS will<br />
determine the terms and conditions of<br />
your benefi t. The length of time of your<br />
disability is determined by the fi ndings<br />
of the PSERS medical examiners review.<br />
You may be subject to a periodic<br />
renewal and/or review process.<br />
