Ted Lockwood is a portfolio manager for the <strong>AST</strong> Dynamic <strong>Asset</strong> Allocation Portfolios and a Managing Director of QMA. Previously,<br />
Mr. Lockwood was with AT&T and a member of the technical staff at AT&T Bell Laboratories. Mr. Lockwood graduated summa cum<br />
laude with a BE in Engineering from Stony Brook University and received an MS in Engineering and an MBA in Finance from<br />
Columbia University.<br />
Marcus Perl, is a portfolio manager for the <strong>AST</strong> Dynamic <strong>Asset</strong> Allocation Portfolios and a Vice President of QMA. He focuses on the<br />
quantitative modelling of asset allocation strategies, financial market research, and the formulation of investment strategy. Prior to<br />
joining <strong>Prudential</strong> in October 2000, Mr. Perl was Vice President at FX Concepts where he was responsible for market risk modelling,<br />
performance analytics, and statistical research. He also worked as an Associate at Wilshire Associates. Mr. Perl holds an MA in<br />
Finance from the Warsaw School of Economics, an MA in Econometrics from California State University Long Beach, and an MA in<br />
Economics from the University of Southern California.<br />
Edward L. Campbell, CFA, is a portfolio manager for the <strong>AST</strong> Dynamic <strong>Asset</strong> Allocation Portfolios and a Senior Associate at QMA. He<br />
focuses on global macroeconomic and financial market research and the formulation of investment strategy. Prior to rejoining<br />
<strong>Prudential</strong> in August 2003, Mr. Campbell spent three years with Trilogy Advisors LLC, a $5 billion asset management firm. He also<br />
previously worked as a senior investment manager research analyst with <strong>Prudential</strong> Securities and PI. Mr. Campbell is a member of<br />
the New York Society of Securities Analysts and the CFA Institute. He received a BS in Economics and International Business from The<br />
City University of New York and holds the Chartered Financial Analyst designation.<br />
Edward F. Keon, Jr. is a Managing Director and Portfolio Manager for QMA, as well as a member of the asset allocation team and the<br />
investment committee. In addition to portfolio management, Ed contributes to investment strategy, research and portfolio<br />
construction. Ed has also served as Chief Investment Strategist and Director of Quantitative Research at <strong>Prudential</strong> Equity Group, LLC,<br />
where he was a member of the firm’s investment policy committee and research recommendation committee. Ed’s prior experience<br />
was as Senior Vice President at I/B/E/S International Inc. Ed is a member of the Board of Directors of the Chicago Quantitative<br />
Alliance and sits on the Membership Committee of the Institute of Quantitative Research in Finance (Q-Group). He holds a BS in<br />
industrial management from the University of Massachusetts/Lowell and an MS in Finance and Marketing from the Sloan School of<br />
Management at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.<br />
<strong>AST</strong> Federated Aggressive Growth Portfolio<br />
The portfolio managers responsible for management of the Federated Equity portion of the Portfolio are Aash M. Shah, Lawrence<br />
Auriana, Hans P. Utsch and John Ettinger. Mr. Shah joined Federated Equity’s parent company in 1993, has been a Portfolio Manager<br />
since 1995, and has been a Vice President of the parent company since January 1997. Mr. Shah served as an Assistant Vice President<br />
of the parent company from 1995 through 1996. He and Mr. Utsch are Co-Heads of Federated Global’s Kaufman Investment Area.<br />
They joined Federated Global’s parent company in April 2001. Mr. Auriana was the portfolio manager of The Kaufmann Fund, from<br />
1985 to 2001. From 1984 to 2001, he was the President and Treasurer of Edgemont <strong>Asset</strong> Management Corp., the adviser to The<br />
Kaufmann Fund. Mr. Auriana has been engaged in the securities business since 1965. Mr. Utsch has managed the portfolio since May<br />
2002. Mr. Utsch was the portfolio manager of The Kaufmann Fund, from 1985 to 2001. From 1984 to 2001, he was Chairman of the<br />
Board and Secretary of Edgemont <strong>Asset</strong> Management Corp. Mr. Utsch has been engaged in the securities business since 1962. Mr.<br />
Ettinger was named a portfolio manager of the Portfolio in May 2004. Mr. Ettinger has been an investment analyst with Federated<br />
Equity’s parent company since April 2001. He served as an investment analyst with Edgemont <strong>Asset</strong> Management Corp. from 1996 to<br />
2001.<br />
<strong>AST</strong> FI Pyramis ® <strong>Asset</strong> Allocation Portfolio<br />
Mark Friebel is Senior Vice President and Head of <strong>Asset</strong> Allocation at Pyramis Global Advisors, a unit of Fidelity Investments and<br />
portfolio manager for <strong>AST</strong> FI Pyramis® <strong>Asset</strong> Allocation Portfolio. Prior to joining Pyramis, Mark was head of the asset allocation and<br />
product strategy group at Barclays Global Investors, N.A., (BGI) San Francisco. As BGI’s principal asset allocation strategist, he led<br />
development of a broad range of new asset allocation products employing commodity, currency, overlay, and custom alpha/beta<br />
strategies, including the firm’s first lifecycle product, which he designed in the mid-1990s. Mark earned a Bachelor of Science degree<br />
in Political Science from Santa Clara University and a Master’s degree in Business Administration with a concentration in<br />
International Management from Thunderbird Global School of Management. He holds the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority<br />
(formerly NASD) <strong>Series</strong> 7, 24, and 63 licenses.<br />
