Sound levels
Some of the quietest and fastest washing machines in the world
Mieles washing machines offer
different levels of sound
insulation depending on the
spin speed of the machine.
Machines with a lower spin do not need as
much insulation as top of the range
washing machines which are equipped
with a special sound insulation package.
The sound insulation is categorised on a
scale of 1–5, with 1 for machines with
lower spin speeds which need less
insulation, and 5 for machines with high
spin speeds which need more insulation.
Frequency controlled motors in most of our
ma chines reduce motor nois es greatly. In
our top of the range models a brushless
motor does its job with hardly any noise at
all. In fact, we don’t believe there is any
other washing machine which spins faster
and quieter.
With a spin speed of up to 1600 rpm, some
Miele models have already set new records.
The spin cycle commences with a gentle
run-up and is followed by a sophisticated
electronic imbalance control, which
measures if the load has really been evenly
distributed. If this is not the case, your
Miele machine will interrupt the spin cycle,
redistribute the load, and then resume the
spin cycle. The machine will not violently
vibrate and move across your kitchen
floor!
As can be expected with washing machines
of this calibre, the maximum spin speed is
adjustable and each individual wash
programme is limited to an appropriate
maximum speed. Your benefit of this safety
feature is that it is virtually impossible to
damage your delicate garments with an
excessively high spin speed.
