Long life
The unbeatably quiet PWM drive increas es
the life of the motor to 15,000 work ing
hours or 20 years of washing and drying to
the average family!
Patented drum
The Miele Honeycomb drum
provides gentle care for your
laundry. The unique drum
construction cushions your garments whilst
washing them beautifully.
Low water consumption
They benefit from Fuzzy Logic and an
analogue pressure switch, taking in only as
much water as is actually needed for each
load and reducing consumption to 56 litres
per full cottons wash. A unique fan system
optimises the water used to cool and
condense the moisture from the drum
during drying, bringing water consumption
for the drying cycle down to an incredible
9 litres (compared with a market average
of 20 litres!).
Fast spin
The choice of spin speeds up to 1,600 rpm
means that residual moisture levels after
washing are very low, leading to economical
drying. Furthermore, Miele’s unique
Thermospin process uses heat during a
pre-tumbling spin to break the bond between
the water and the cloth es, reduc ing drying
times by around 10 minutes.
Sensor drying
Unlike many other washer
dryers, Miele’s models have a
genuine sensor drying system.
Information on the progress of the drying
cycle is fed from a sensor plate on the
back of the porthole door to the “brain” of
the machine, which adjusts the drying time
accordingly to ensure precise results.
Overload light
The machines are designed to take a full
wash load of 5.5 kg of cottons and a 3 kg
drying load. Of course, it’s not easy to
guess exactly how much wash ing makes
up 3 kg, but a light on the fa scia will let you
know if the machine is over loaded and will
continue to shine until you have reduced
the load to the correct amount. With a
sufficiently small wash load, the drying
cycle can be pro grammed to follow on
automatically from the washing cycle.
Flush lint cycle
The unique Miele automatic lint flush cycle
automatically flushes lint out of the
condenser unit after every other drying
programme to ensure that drying is always
efficient. To prevent coloured lint from
finding its way into a whites wash, the
manual “rinse out fluff” programme can be
selected. Water is brought into the drum
which turns at a slow spin and the motion
of the water will remove all lint from the
outer drum.
