4.30 Connecting Desklights<br />

Desklights are available as an optional accessory. Only 12V Littlite or compatible<br />

desklights with 3-pin Cannon XLR type connectors should be used (for wiring see<br />

Appendix B).<br />

4.40 Connecting a VDU<br />

Connect from any Monochrome, CGA, EGA or VGA monitor to the connector on<br />

the option panel. Two video output options are available to suit the above range of<br />

monitors (for wiring see Appendix B).<br />

4.50 Connecting a MIDI Device<br />

The <strong>Event</strong> console is equipped with a MIDI input (there is no through connector).<br />

Use a standard MIDI cable to conect from the MIDI device to the MIDI In connector<br />

on the backpanel (for wiring see Appendix B).<br />

4.60 Connecting a Slave Console<br />

Any <strong>Jands</strong> Stage 12, ESP II or <strong>Event</strong> console can be slaved to the <strong>Event</strong>.<br />

Connect from the DMX output of the slave console to the MIDI input of the main<br />

console. This cable should be wired as detailed (for wiring see Appendix B).<br />

4.70 Turning the Power On<br />

Once all connections have been made the console can be turned on using the mains<br />

power switch located next to the power lead input.<br />
