Operational Overview
• Management’s Focus & Strategy:
Grow the Company into a diversified international producer
with strategic oil and gas assets in Africa that deliver
significant upside potential for shareholders.
• Liberia - Converting onshore Reconnaissance Licence to a
Production Sharing Agreement (PSA)
• Company’s 1 st asset is a licence extending over an area of 1,366
sq.kms and covers the entire onshore extent of sedimentary basin
known as Robert-Bassa Basin.
• Final approval and signed PSA expected by mid February.
• Recently applied for PSA on ‘Block 3’ in Mali
• An asset already w/ +$10 million USD of seismic and exploration
since 2007 covers 22,500 sq. kilometers in an identified basin w/
excellent drill site targets already established.
• A successful application will employ advanced passive seismic
techniques to compliment and strengthen decisions on known drill
targets.
• Advancing on PSA applications for both onshore and offshore
assets in Ghana.
The rush for oil exploration
in West Africa
• Anadarko Petroleum to begin
drilling an exploration well
offshore Liberia early in 2011
• Anadarko Petroleum
announced major discoveries
offshore Sierra Leone (Venus,
fall 2009, Mercury Sept. 2010)
• Chevron granted three
deepwater concessions
offshore Liberia, exploration
to start 4 th quarter, 2010
• Major oil discovery in Ghana
is about to begin production in
2010 (Jubilee)
Largely unexplored region with billion barrel potential fields already
discovered (Venus & Mercury off Sierra Leone, w/ Jubilee off Ghana)
Liberia onshore licence
• First onshore Hydrocarbon
Reconnaissance Licence
NR-001 in Liberia
• Over 1,366 sq. kms entirely
covered by the onshore
extent of the Robert-Bassa
Sedimentary Basin
• Early in 2010 Company
conducted extensive satellite,
airborne and gravity
reinterpretations of previous
data
• Company is converting its
Reconnaissance Licence into
a PSC with the National Oil
Company of Liberia (NOCAL)
Liberia onshore licence
• During January 2010,
Simba Energy supervised
an exploration team of
geology students from the
University of Liberia to
carry out an extensive
survey over the most
prospective portions of
Simba’s licence area
• 15 oil seeps found on all
traverses explored
covering an area of
approximately 125 sq.kms
• Each sighting had
numerous oil seeps in
close proximity
The high volatile oil associated with the seeps is a positive indication of mature oil. The onshore basin is
either deep enough to have temperature and pressure levels capable of maturation or migration has come
from offshore sediments.

studied oil seeps
by the blue low area. The large purple to blue areas north of the basin consists of
Precambrian low density rocks.
Liberia onshore oil seeps
Seeps were identified and quantified on the following observations:
•Often there was kerosene smell (description of a hydrocarbon smell or stink)
•The hydrocarbon present is very volatile and was only seen entering fresh pits.
• Generally seeps were found in quiet water as their identifier features are better
preserved.
Mali – Block 3 Application
• Formally submitted application
for a Production Sharing
Agreement (PSA) on ‘Block-
3’ in Mali w/ “AUREP” -
L'Autorité pour la Promotion
de la Recherche Pétrolière au
Mali (The Authority for the
Promotion of Oil Research
in Mali).
• Block 3 covers over 22,500
sq. kms centrally located in
the very large Taoudeni
Basin.
• Over the past few years,
Eni S.p.A (Italy) conducted
extensive satellite, airborne,
gravity, 2D Seismic
interpretation of new and
previous data
The Taoudeni Basin is the largest
under explored basin in West Africa!
