DARCO is an international group operating
worldwide in a leading position with orthopedic
foot and ankle products such as cast
boots, walkers, postoperative shoes and offloading
boots.
DARCO also offers orthopedic foot and
ankle care for diabetics as well as preventive
and postoperative care for sports medicine
and physiotherapy. In this respect we concentrate
on developing the latest orthoses
for the wrist and ankle joint, cold compression
bandages as well as elastic tapes for
kinesiology in addition to athletic tapes.
Our R&D team consisting of orthopedic
technicians and product designers focuses
on the development of new products representing
state­of­art technology in close
cooperation with leading medical specialists
and physiotherapists.
DARCO is specifically involved in promoting

Der OrthoWedge wurde speziell zur
Ent lastung und zum Schutz des Vorfußes entwickelt.
Seine durchgehende Sohle gewährt
dem Patienten Schutz von der Unterseite,
zum Beispiel vor Stufen oder Straßenschmutz.
Die Innensohle ist zur eventuellen Nachbearbeitung
herausnehmbar. Durch die paten tierte
Konstruktion des Entlastungskeils findet
eine Druckumverteilung auf den Mittel­ bzw.
Rückfuß statt (TPR­Sohle). Die weite Öffnungs­
möglichkeit und die variable Breiteneinstellung
durch Klettverschlüsse ermöglichen

The OrthoWedge Off­loading Shoe is
speci fically designed to protect the forefoot
by removing most of the pressure from the
meta tarsal head and digits during the weightbearing
portion of the gait cycle. For postprocessing
the sole can be taken out. The patented
construction of the wedge obtains an
off­loading mechanism (TPR­sole). The weight
is notable reduced at the forefoot. Velcro®
straps make opening easy and allow a comfortable
fitting.

The breathable upper, the light EVA­sole
and the removable insole are particular
features of the shoe.
This shoe is explicitly designed for usage
in closed rooms and for permanent wear of
up to four weeks. We recommend ordering
the TPR­sole additionally for heavy patients.

The HeelWedge® is clinically proven to offload
pressure by over 26 % from the heel by
shifting weight to the mid and forefoot to
promote faster healing after surgery, trauma
or when wounds or ulcerations are present on
the heel. The square­toe design offers more
space for bandage material. The modified and
removeable forefoot closure provides better
left / right fit. The removable EVA­insole can

Beim APB® Verbandschuh wird die gleiche
Sohlentechnologie verwendet wie bei dem
bewährten MedSurg Postoperationsschuh,
womit auch der Einsatz als Gipsschuh oder
Gehsohle bei starren Verbänden sehr gut
möglich ist. Die neue Verschluss technik erlaubt
ein einfaches und beidseitiges Anlegen.
Der Schuh ist komplett geschlossen
und wasserabweisend und somit auch für

The TwinShoe is a matching and height
adjusting shoe supplementing our classic
product line (listed bottom left) and used
specifically for clinical care support. Transportation
costs for driving to the hospital
or to the patient are reduced to a minimum.

In the APB® All Purpose Boot the same
sole technology is used as in the proven
MedSurg post surgical shoe, so that its use
as a plaster shoe or walking sole in rigid
bandages is certainly possible. The new closure
technique allows for simple and two­
sided application.
The shoe is completely closed and waterrepellent
and keeps dressings and toes warm
and dry.

The MedSurg Shoe with its famous semi­
rigid sole is built around our patented
MetaShank forefoot support, that provides
more rigid control and better protection after
osteotomies. Our breathable, mesh upper
conforms to bony abnormalities of the foot
and has a reinforced heel counter and pad ded
heel collar to stabilize the rear foot and re­
duce slippage. Extra­long straps accommodate
even the bulkiest dressings. Due to the classification
in men­ and women­sizes the shoe
fits at best.

Arctic Air® wurde in enger Zusammenarbeit
von Physiotherapeuten, Ärzten und Anwendern
entwickelt. Tests bestätigen eine sehr
gute Kühlwirkung, eine hilfreiche Schutzfunktion
vor Einflüssen von außen sowie den
Erhalt der maximalen Mobilität im Vergleich
zu Standardprodukten. Eine individuelle
Kompression wird mit der Handpumpe (mit
Luer­Lock) erzeugt. Somit kann bei Akutversor
gungen das »Einbluten« und die Therapiezeit
verringert werden.
Mit dem Ersatz­Kühlkissen ist der sofortige
und flexible Einsatz des Arctic Air® Kälte­
Kompressions­Systems gesichert.

Arctic Air® has been developed in close cooperation
