And not a word of explanation does he give to show<br />
wherein the verses quoted from Jeremiah relate in any<br />
wise to the political status of the natural Israel in a<br />
yet future era. <strong>The</strong> writer of that article appears to<br />
have a very poor opinion of the intelligence of his readers.<br />
EZEKIEL'S TESTIMONY<br />
Next is quoted the following :<br />
"Thus saith the Lord God; Behold, I will take the children of<br />
Israel from among the heathen, whither they be gone" they<br />
were already in captivity when this prophecy was given "and<br />
will gather them on every side, and bring them into their own<br />
land: And I will make them one nation in the land upon the<br />
mountains of Israel; and one king shall be king to them all:<br />
and they shall be no more two nations, neither shall they be<br />
divided into two kingdoms any more at all" (Ezek. 37:21, 22).<br />
<strong>The</strong> context of this prophecy makes it quite plain<br />
that it relates to the kingdom of Christ and the "everlasting<br />
covenant" (see particularly verses 24-26). <strong>The</strong><br />
oneness here foretold is the oneness of all who are in<br />
Christ, "whether Jews or Gentiles" (1 Cor. 12:13;<br />
Gal. 3 :28 ; Eph. 2 :13-15 ;<br />
Col. 3-11) So it has always<br />

been understood by Christian teachers and commentators<br />

and therefore anyone who now would put a radically<br />
different interpretation upon the passage is called<br />
upon to prove his case convincingly. <strong>The</strong> vision of<br />
Ezekiel 37 is one of a series which begins at chapter<br />
34 with God's stern reproof of "the shepherds of Israel,"<br />
in which chapter He makes the great promise,<br />
"Behold, I, even I, will both search My sheep, and seek<br />
them out" (37 :11) This puts us on the right track for<br />
