It was essential for Hasselt to have a bridge across the river Zwarte<br />

Water. The bishop of Utrecht gave Hasselt his consent in 1486.<br />

Other cities in the neighbourhood of Hasselt were afraid of the toll<br />

money to be paid when crossing this bridge so they prevented the<br />

construction.<br />

19 Margin texts<br />

It is very easy to put text in the margin. You just use \inmargin.<br />

\inmargin[.1.][ref]{.2.}<br />

You may remember one of the earlier examples:<br />

This would result in a figure in the margin. You c<strong>an</strong> imagine that it looks quite nice in<br />

some documents. But be careful. The margin is rather small so the figure could become<br />

very marginal.<br />
