Item 11 Conclusion and recommendations Further progress towards standards of care in hospital for people with Learning Disabilities has been made since the last update report. The review of the LD liaison team has been very useful and encouraging; it has enabled a focused revision of the Standard Operating Procedure for the management of patients with Learning Disabilities in hospital and a review of the team structure. Issues and concerns raised through patient experiences have also been addressed as part of this review and revised operational procedure. The Trust Board is asked to: 1. Confirm commitment to the Getting It Right Charter. 2. Note the outcomes of the review of Learning Disabilities Liaison team. 3. Review the Trust’s continued position and satisfy itself that the Trust is able to declare continuing compliance towards the Monitor Compliance framework.
