European Union (EU) Procurement Rules
For contracts that require Public Notice under EU
regulations Plymouth Community Homes is only
required to allow comments and observations, not
the nomination of a contractor.
Major Works carried out under a Long-Term
Agreement
If we want to carry out major works under a longterm
agreement entered into with a contractor,
affected leaseholders will receive further
consultation as follows:
• If the cost of the work is likely to be more than
£250 to any one leaseholder in the block, all
leaseholders will be sent a Notice of Intention.
The Notice will describe the works and include
an estimate of the contribution that the
leaseholder will be required to pay.
• Leaseholders have 30 days in which to make
any written comments.
• Plymouth Community Homes must consider any
comments received and send a written reply.
Urgent Works
Urgent works can be allowed to go ahead without
consultation if it is felt to be reasonable to dispense
with the requirements. This may apply to works
which are very urgent, for example on the grounds
of health and safety.
