Description<br />

Specifies an integer value indicating the positioning of the<br />

positive_sign/negative_sign string for a nonnegative/negative<br />

formatted monetary quantity.<br />

1 Indicates that the positive_sign/negative string precedes the<br />

quantity and the int_curr_symbol or currency_symbol string.<br />

2 Indicates that the positive_sign/negative string follows the<br />

quantity and the int_curr_symbol or currency_symbol string.<br />

4 Indicates that the positive_sign string immediately follows the<br />

int_curr_symbol or currency_symbol string.<br />

<strong>Version</strong> 4 Files Reference. The locale definition source files are part of the<br />

separately installable bos.loc.adt.locale fileset.<br />

Generally, the LC_MONETARY information for each @euro variant of the locale<br />

contains the same formatting information as the country’s historical currency<br />

formatting with the following modifications, as necessary:<br />

• The alphabetic international currency symbol as defined by the<br />

int_curr_symbol keyword is set to "".<br />

• The string to use for the locale currency symbol as defined by currency_symbol<br />

keyword is set to (the Euro symbol).<br />

• The number of decimal places for Euro symbol formatting, as defined by the<br />

keywords int_frac_digits and frac_digits is set to two decimal places in all cases.<br />

• Other formatting conventions, such as decimal point and thousands separator,<br />

can be uniquely specified by each country. The relevant keywords where<br />

minor deviations occur are mon_decimal_point, mon_thousands_sep, p_cs_precedes,<br />

n_cs_precedes, p_sign_posn, n_sign_posn. Table 53 summarizes the differences<br />

between the Euro LC_MONETARY locales<br />
