7.14.1.3 CacheFS Commands<br />

New commands specific to CacheFS are:<br />

• cfsadmin<br />

• fsck_cachefs<br />

cfsadmin<br />

The cfsadmin command provides for the following CacheFS administration<br />

functions:<br />

• Creating cached file systems<br />

• Deleting cached file systems<br />

• Listing cache contents and statistics<br />

• Changing CacheFS resource parameters<br />

The cfsadmin command syntax is:<br />

cfsadmin -c [ -o cachefs-parameters ] cache_directory<br />

cfsadmin -d [ cache_id | all ] cache_directory<br />

cfsadmin -l cache_directory<br />

cfsadmin -s [ mount point | all ] cache_directory<br />

cfsadmin -u [ -o cachefs-parameters ]<br />

Table 40 details the cfsadmin options.<br />

Description<br />

-c Creates a cache under the directory specified by<br />

cache_directory. The directory must not exist prior to cache<br />

creation.<br />

-d Removes the file system specified by cache_id and releases its<br />

resources or removes all file systems if all is specified.<br />

-l Lists file systems stored in the specified cache with their<br />

statistics.<br />

-s Requests a consistency check on the specified file system, or<br />

all file systems, if all is specified.<br />

-u Updates resource parameters of the specified cache directory.<br />

Note that parameter values can only be increased, decreasing<br />

requires cache removal and recreation.<br />

-o CacheFS resource parameters see Table Table 41 for details.<br />

Description<br />

Maximum amount of storage space that CacheFS can use,<br />

expressed as a percentage of the total number of blocks in the<br />

front file system. Default=90%<br />

Minimum amount of storage space that CacheFS is always<br />

allowed to use, expressed as a percentage of the total number<br />

of blocks in the front file system. Default=0%<br />
