6.2.5.11 Status Line<br />

The status line is used to display current status information about the container.<br />

The status line may be shown, or hidden, at the user’s option. Examples of<br />

information displayed in the status line are: number of objects shown in the view<br />

area, number of objects hidden, and loading status.<br />

6.2.5.12 Container Views<br />

Container views present a variety of representations of a group of objects that<br />

can be altered according to user needs or preferences. Many containers are able<br />

to present more than one view. Because different view types may be more or less<br />

appropriate for different object types, there is no one default view for all object<br />

containers.<br />

Examples of standard views are listed in the following:<br />

Icon Icon view arranges icons for managed objects in a grid. This view is<br />

useful for displaying a large number of objects in a small area (Figure<br />

19).<br />

Details<br />

The icons in the view are displayed in a grid or table with the object<br />

icons, or names, in the columns on the far-left and additional property<br />

information in the remaining columns. See Figure 20 for an example of<br />

the details view for system devices.<br />
