Getting to the institute
(1) If you are staying at Hotel Marschiertor (down town)
Monday:
• Someone from the workshop will pick up a group at the hotel
• To join the group you need to buy bus tickets yourself beforehand
(to avoid ∼ 50 people annoying the bus driver at once):
◦ A ticket machine is located at the central station at the bus
stop and also at the Tabak & Zubehör Shop from T. H. Kleen
on your left when you exit the central station on the side of the
big square.
◦ For the entire workshop you need 6 tickets
2 x single trip (2.50 Euro) + 1x four trips (8.80 Euro) = 13.80 Euro
• Travel time to the institute is about 30 minutes:
The group will leave the hotel strictly at 8.00 to make it in time.
Tuesday-Wednesday:
• Take bus number 3 A or 3 B at central station (Hauptbahnhof )
(Don’t worry that these busses depart in opposite directions.
Also, depending on the departure time, you may need to change bus once)
• Your destination is Campus Melaten
• Exiting the bus, go up the stairs towards the ugly building with yellow
on the roof (Physikzentrum) which has 26 written on it in big letters.
• Enter the tower and go to lecture hall 28 D001 (Hörsaal Physik) on
the 1st floor.
