daughters, Jean Taylor Elmer and Lucy Jefferson Elmer; His mother, Mrs. H. C.<br />
Elmer <strong>of</strong> Ithaca; two brothers, B. B. Elmer <strong>of</strong> Bronxville, New York; and C. J. Elmer <strong>of</strong><br />
Tulsa, Okla. Funeral services will be held Friday at 2:00 p.m. at the home <strong>of</strong> Mr. and<br />
Mrs. Charles L. Taylor, 232 Kenyon Street. Rev. Charles L. Taylor, Jr. <strong>of</strong> Cambridge,<br />

2. Corwin <strong>McMillin</strong> Butterworth<br />
Corwin <strong>McMillin</strong> Butterworth was born August 25, 1889, in Ohio. He attended a<br />
military boarding school in Washington, Ohio, and graduated from Trinity College in<br />
Hartford, CT, in 1909. He married Elizabeth von Arnim around 1917. She was born<br />
February 15, 1893, in Berlin, Germany, the daughter <strong>of</strong> Mary Annette Beauchamp,<br />
“Elizabeth,” born August 31, 1866, and died February 9, 1941, and Count Henning<br />
August von Arnim, born April 21, 1851, and died August 20, 1910.<br />

Butterworth died May 20, 1976, in Santa Barbara, California. Corwin and Elizabeth had<br />
two daughters; 1: Clare Butterworth and 2. Ann Butterworth. When their<br />
daughters, along with their niece, Caro von Arnim (see below) who lived with them,<br />
were in school in Connecticut, Corwin and Elizabeth moved to West Hartford, CT, and<br />
lived there for 20 years before going back to California. In the 1930 Census <strong>of</strong> CT.,<br />
Corwin is listed as a trustee, investments. After moving back to California, he is listed as<br />
a rancher, orchardist, and nut farmer. Corwin <strong>McMillin</strong> Butterworth died June 11, 1961,<br />
