SolarWood Technologies S. A. introduces an innovation in the field<br />
of roof integrated photovoltaics: The SolarWood MegaSlate ® . This<br />
concept combines both, a long-lasting weather proofed roofing and<br />
a photovoltaic generator to produce electrical power. The twelve<br />
different dimensioned solar panels of the MegaSlate ® family allow<br />
an individual adaption of the photovoltaic system to the given roof<br />
area. The result is an integrated and consistent roof covering with<br />
an optimal aesthetic overall picture.<br />

The innovative MegaSlate ® mounting system enables an uncomplicated<br />
and fast installation. Due to the vertical overlapping of the<br />
panels a very good rear ventilation and optimal rain proofing is<br />
given. The frameless design avoids long term dirt accumulation at<br />
the edge of the e panel and conveys down sliding of snow loads.<br />
All panels of the SolarWood MegaSlate ® family feature bypass<br />
diodes. These diodes minimise power loss in case of shading and<br />
protect the panel against hot spot effect.
