Francis Gugen<br />

Francis Gugen was elected <strong>PGS</strong> Board Chairman in May 2009. Currently an energy-industry<br />

consultant and investor, he worked at Amerada Hess Corporation for 18 years, from 1982 to 2000.<br />

Mr. Gugen served as Chief Executive of Amerada Hess UK from 1995 to 2000 and Amerada Hess’<br />

Chief Executive of North West Europe from 1998 to 2000. His board positions at listed companies<br />

include Board Chairman of IGas Energy Plc and Board Member of SBM Offshore NV; Mr Gugen is<br />

an IGas Energy investor. Francis Gugen is also Chairman of the Board and investor in a number of<br />

privately held companies. A UK chartered accountant, he has also worked at Arthur Andersen. As<br />

of April 4, 2012, Mr. Gugen owns 30,000 <strong>PGS</strong> shares.<br />

Chairperson<br />

Harald Norvik is an independent advisor and consultant. He is Chairman of the Board of<br />

Telenor, Board Chairman of Aschehoug Publishing House and Board Member of ConocoPhillips,<br />

Inc., Deep Ocean Holding and Umoe. Mr. Norvik was President and Chief Executive Officer of<br />

Statoil from 1988 to 1999. From 1981 to 1988, he was Finance Director and a Member of the<br />

Executive Board of the Aker Group. Harald Norvik served as Personal Secretary to the Prime<br />

Minister of Norway and as State Secretary in the Ministry of Petroleum and Energy from 1979 to<br />

1981. He received his Master of Science in Business from the Norwegian School of Economics and<br />

Business Administration. As of April 4, 2012, Mr. Norvik owns 8,000 <strong>PGS</strong> shares.<br />

Dr.Carol Bell<br />

Dr.Carol Bell has over 30 years of experience in the energy industry, with particular expertise<br />

in investment and financing in the oil and gas sector. She is the senior non-executive director of<br />

Hardy Oil and Gas plc, a non-executive director of Salamander Energy plc, a Member of the Board<br />

of Det norske oljeselskap ASA and a Member of the Investment Advisory Committee of Gemini Oil<br />

and Gas, a private investment fund. Dr. Bell is Chair of the Investment Committee of Girton College<br />

in Cambridge. She has held senior positions in investment banking, including Managing Director<br />

of the Global Oil & Gas Group at Chase Manhattan Bank, Head of European Equity Research at<br />

JPMorgan and Global Head of its Oil and Gas Equity Research Team. Dr. Bell began her career<br />

in corporate planning and development with RTZ Oil and Gas and later worked at Charterhouse<br />

Petroleum plc. She was awarded a Ph.D. in May 2005 for her research on the evolution of<br />

economic and trade relations in the Ancient Eastern Mediterranean across the Late Bronze/Iron<br />

Age transition and in 2006 published a book on this subject. Dr. Bell is Honorary Treasurer of the<br />

British School at Athens. She was educated as a scientist, earning an M.A. in Biochemistry from<br />

Cambridge University, a B.A. in Geology from the Open University, and a Ph.D. in Archaeology<br />

from University College, London. As of April 4, 2012, Dr. Bell owns 5,000 <strong>PGS</strong> shares.<br />
