dedicatedabigpart<strong>of</strong>theirlifestudyingthefascinating<strong>geology</strong><strong>of</strong>thearea.<br />
The area uniquely combines as well, the natural (habitats, flora, fauna,<br />
l<strong>and</strong>forms, hydrography <strong>and</strong> l<strong>and</strong>scape) <strong>and</strong> human environments (traditional<br />
settlements,cultural,historic<strong>and</strong>architecturalfeatures)<strong>and</strong>createsauniquesynthesis<br />
<strong>of</strong>natural<strong>and</strong>humanelements.<br />
ForallabovereasonsVikosAoosareaisconsideredasageological,natural<br />
<strong>and</strong>culturalheritage<strong>of</strong>internationalsignificancethatcanbeappreciatedthrough<br />
conservation, education <strong>and</strong> geotourism <strong>and</strong> our Commission supports the<br />
