CONTROLS AND DISPLAY<br />

•If you are required to idle your vehicle for<br />

long periods of time, install an auxiliary<br />

heater or automatic idle control. These auxiliary<br />

devices can reduce fuel consumption<br />

and save you money.<br />

•If other vehicles are parked next to you<br />

idling, move your vehicle or do not stay in<br />

your vehicle for prolonged periods of time.<br />

•When idling for short periods of time<br />

–Set to Heat or A/C<br />

–Set the fan to Medium or High speed<br />

–Set the controls to FRESH AIR<br />

To Set the Heater-Air Conditioning Controls<br />

The Conventional cab's controls will have one control unit<br />

on the dash:<br />

• A rotary knob (A) in the left portion controlling the<br />

blower speed with five settings (including OFF).<br />

HEATER-AIR CONDITIONING CONTROLS<br />

• A rotary knob (B) in the center portion controlling the<br />

movement of air within the cab. This control is continuously<br />

variable through five modes (clockwise from<br />

left):<br />

– Panel<br />

– Panel/Floor<br />

–Floor<br />

– Defrost/Floor<br />

–Defrost<br />

• A rotary knob (C) in the right portion controlling the air<br />

temperature.<br />

• A push button switch (D) in the center left portion to<br />

engage the air conditioner compressor (only vehicles<br />

with air conditioning).<br />

• A push button switch (E) in the center right portion to<br />

select either fresh- or recirculated-air mode.<br />
