Engine Oil Pressure Gauge<br />

CONTROLS AND DISPLAY<br />

• If your oil pressure suddenly drops while you are driving,<br />

bring the vehicle to a stop as soon as possible in<br />

a safe location off the road and turn off the engine.<br />

Wait a few minutes to allow oil to drain into the oil pan,<br />

and then check the oil level. Add oil if necessary. If the<br />

problem persists, contact an authorized service center.<br />

Check the engine manufacturer’s manual for the correct<br />

oil pressure ranges for your engine.<br />

Water Temperature Gauge<br />

It is important to maintain oil pressure within acceptable<br />

limits. Your engine manual will give normal operating pressures<br />

for your engine.<br />

CAUTION: Continuing to operate your vehicle<br />

with insufficient oil pressure will cause serious<br />

engine damage.<br />

• If your oil pressure fails to rise within 10 seconds after<br />

your engine starts, stop the engine and determine the<br />

cause.<br />

The water temperature gauge shows the temperature of<br />

the engine coolant. Under normal operating conditions the<br />
