• If your oil pressure fails to rise within 10 seconds <strong>after</strong><br />

your engine starts, stop the engine and determine the<br />

cause.<br />

• If your oil pressure suddenly drops while you are driving,bringthevehicletoastopassoonaspossibleina<br />

safe location off the road and turn off the engine. Wait<br />

a few minutes to allow oil to drain into the oil pan, and<br />

then check the oil level. Add oil if necessary. If the<br />

problem persists, contact an authorized service center.<br />

Check the engine manufacturer’s manual for the correct oil<br />

pressure ranges for your engine.<br />

The water temperature gauge shows the temperature of<br />

the engine coolant. Under normal operating conditions the<br />

water temperature gauge should register between 165° -<br />

205° F (74° and 90° C), depending on the engine. Under<br />

certain conditions, somewhat higher temperatures may<br />

be acceptable. But the maximum allowable temperature is<br />

225° F (1<strong>07</strong>° C) with the cooling system pressurized, ex-<br />
