Hub Pilot Mount System and Ball Seat Mount System<br />
Hub, Drum, and Stud Assembly<br />
• The hub pilot mounting system uses M22x1.5 metric<br />
threads (about 7/8 in. dia.). The stud stands out<br />
at least 1.9 in. beyond the brake drum. All studs are<br />
right hand threads. Pilot bosses machined on the hub<br />
fit tightly to the wheel center bore.<br />
• The ball seat mounting system uses 3/4 x 16 or 1-1/8<br />
x 16 threads. The dual mounting studs provide 1.3 -<br />
• Pilot mount wheels have stud holes that are reamed<br />
straight through (no ball seats). Center bore diameter<br />
is 8- 21/32 in. Budd Uni-Mount - 10 wheels have UNI-<br />
MOUNT stamped on the disc.<br />
• Ball seat wheels have spherical chamfers machined<br />
on each stud hole. Center bore diameter is 8-23/32 in.<br />
Wheel Nuts<br />
• Hub pilot nut has a hex body and a flange for clamping<br />
against wheel face. Hex size is 33 mm (same as<br />
1- 5/16 in.).<br />
• Inner and outer cap nuts mate with spherical chamfers<br />
on wheels. Inner nut has 13/16 in. square end.<br />
Outer nut has 1-1/2 in. hex.<br />
