on 4 th April, 2008 the police of Khurda Police Station had gone to the accuser’s house and had taken the
father of the accused.
The police had detained the victim Krushna Chandra Mangaraj at the police station for three days and
had tortured him. The girl’s father Sabreswar was working as a police constable and had threatened to
kill the victim’s son if he did not hand over his daughter.

ASI had gone to the shop and had forced the victim to provide him a bottle of wine. The victim Sri
Parsuram Kalet had told him that the manager was not there and had refused to give him

The next day, the ASI had gone to the wine shop with three constables and had dragged him to the
police station. The police had beaten him severely and had threatened to file a complaint against him.

The Victim Rupa Chaudhury was the Secretary of Mahila Samiti. One Renuka, a member of the Maila
Samiti was tortured by her in-laws while she was fetching water. They have abused her and had pelted
stones. So Renuka had sustained injuries on her head.
Immediately, she had rushed to the police station to lodge a complaint. But the ASI had abused her filthy
words and had sent her out. So she had informed this at the Mahila Samiti. The victim Rupa Chaudhury
and five members of Mahila Samiti had gone to the police station, but the ASI had abused them and had
sent them out of the police station.
