Case Details:
Victim Sekh Aimul is an agriculturist residing in Khurda district. He stays along with his two sons. On
15 th January 2008 Musin Khan along with few anti social people assaulted the victim because he hadn’t
cast his vote for their political party (Janata Dal). Following this Musin lodged a complaint with the ASI
of Balipatna Police Station falsely alleging Sekh, the result of which the victim was abused by the ASI.
When Sekh Aimul denied the charges, he was slapped and threatened to be remanded. The victim
returned home depressed.

Case Details:
Victim Pankaj Dehury is a resident of Dholapasi, working in a jute mill. On 11 th December 2007 the
victim was stopped by the ASI and a Constable of Sadar Police Station, who inquired him about the
whereabouts of his brother Pramod Dehury. Both the police officials were in their civilian attire. He was
forcibly taken to his brother’s house where the latter was absent. Then the police were trying to trap
Pankaj also, but since his wife shouted at the police they left the place threatening to come back again.
Now Pankaj and his family are leading a life of fear.
