Asif Iqbal and Sahin Sk.’s bodies were kept in front of the Raninagar PS for hours.<br />

The BSF lodged an FIR at Raninagar PS (Case No. 57/2007, dated 02.04.2007, u/s 147/148/<br />

149/186/353/307 IPC). The BSF also prepared a seizure list that shows one dead cow and one<br />

blunt sickle.<br />

Case Detail:<br />

Victim Babar Ali was engaged in trafficking cows across the Indo-Bangladeshi border with the<br />

consent of some BSF personnel, which he obtained by bribing them with Rs. 5,000 per pair of<br />

cows. Babar Ali also slaughtered around fifteen pairs of cows with some of his companions.<br />

2007<br />

On 8 th April 2007 at around 12.30am, a BSF officer<br />

from Out Post No. 2 shot Babar Ali from behind. Babar<br />

Ali fell down on the ground and died on the spot. His<br />

companions fled.<br />

Soon, some BSF personnel from Out Post Nos. 1<br />

and 2 put nine pairs of cows and a blunt weapon just<br />

beside Babar Ali’s body in order to fabricate a cause<br />

for his death.
