Case Details:
Victim Sujatha Sardar, age 11, lives in Kultali, Basanti, South 24 Paragana, West Bengal.
On 29 May 2006, Sujatha told her parents that she was going to Narendrapur with her friends.
Sujatha did not return home.
On 5 June 2007 Madhai Sardar lodged a general diary at the Basanti PS.
After a few days, Sujatha’s friends returned home. Along with Sujatha, they had been taken to
Pune as part of the flesh trade. They had escaped, but Sujatha could not. Sujatha’s friends knew
the names of their abductors.
Madhai Sardar described the entire incident at the Basanti PS. The police have taken no followup
action.

Victim Sukanta Haldar, age 17, lived in Singpara Colony, Murshidabad District, West Bengal.
On 28 October 2006, he died while living in a nursing home.
